Orlio Terms of Use and Safety Disclaimer

Please read these terms before using Orlio. By using the app, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Orlio.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Orlio. If you are under 18, do not use the app. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and protecting access to your Apple account and device.

2. General-wellness service only

Orlio is an AI-powered general-wellness and self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapy or counseling service, emergency service, or substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a licensed professional. Orlio's guides are fictional software personas and are not licensed clinicians. No doctor-patient, therapist-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship is created.

Do not use Orlio to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent a disease or condition, or as the basis for urgent health, legal, financial, or safety decisions. Seek qualified professional care when appropriate.

3. Crisis and emergency situations

Orlio cannot monitor you or dispatch help. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, call the emergency number for your current location or go to the nearest emergency department. In the United States, call 911 or call or text 988. In the United Kingdom, call 999 or Samaritans at 116 123. Elsewhere, use local emergency services and verify any crisis resource before relying on it. Resource availability and numbers can change.

4. AI limitations

Responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, repetitive, or inappropriate. Orlio may misunderstand speech, context, names, relationships, or safety signals. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether to act on them. Do not submit information you do not have the right to use.

Requested features may use secure cloud processing. Customer-facing screens do not identify technical routes because they can change; the Privacy Policy identifies processors and explains the information they may process.

5. Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights in content you create. You give Orlio a limited right to process that content only as needed to provide requested features, protect the service, comply with law, and enforce these terms.

You must not use Orlio to violate law or another person's rights; exploit, harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone; distribute malware; bypass access or usage controls; probe or disrupt the service; reverse engineer where prohibited by law; or use automated access that burdens the service. Orlio may restrict or terminate access to protect users, the service, or legal compliance.

6. Apple services, purchases, and availability

Apple provides distribution, Sign in with Apple, HealthKit, iCloud, StoreKit, and related platform services under Apple's terms. App Store purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. Deleting an Orlio account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage it in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Features may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable because of connectivity, platform, provider, security, legal, or maintenance requirements. Orlio may update or discontinue features without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability.

7. Privacy and account deletion

The Privacy Policy explains collection, cloud processing, retention, export, permissions, and processors. You can request account deletion in Settings → Account → Delete Account, or follow the external instructions at orlio.ai/account-deletion.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orlio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orlio and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You agree to indemnify Orlio and its developer against third-party claims caused by your unlawful use, your content, or your material breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Governing terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and incorporated policies are the agreement governing your use of Orlio, subject to rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law. Applicable law and forum are determined by mandatory law and the court with lawful jurisdiction.

Orlio may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an in-app or release notice.
